Week 14: G6 #biz + #life

I was very excited to support the soft open of Cafe Lolo.  They had a Pop Up at Three Full Sacks last fall and I’ve been rooting for them to be in their own space cooking their delicious food.

It was literally the first time in 60 days David was home before 9pm.  To celebrate he offered to come with me to this exciting soft open.  I was thrilled to get dressed up and be with him to enjoy Cafe Lolo.

We took our time and Brett greeted us and immediately recognized me.  It was such a warm greeting.  Brett and Leah are who I conversed with the most at Three Full Sacks - I haven’t met Alex, he’s always cooking away in the back.  I am in awe of their creativity with every dish I’ve had.  We ordered everything off the menu.  The chocolate sorbet with Spinnaker chocolate is still in my dreams.

Our Western Washington University baby was home and I got to spend some time with her between her jobs before she left.  We went to Kona Kitchen and ate our favorite breakfast and took spam musabi home with some guava cake from Cakes of Paradise.   We also fit Din Tai Fung in, too, between her shifts at Caffe Ladro, Hello Robin, and a debut scooping shift at Hey Bagel.  We all know this kid loves a dumpling.
