Week 4: G6 #biz + #life
This week, Isabelle started her fellowship at the Washington Post. She was onboarding and figuring out the best route to work. She lives and goes to school at the University of Maryland as part of their Ph.D. program. She is a political and government research assistant; she applied for the fellowship and competed with other classmates. Okay, we are incredibly proud if you couldn’t tell.
Hannah and I had a busy day - we ended up gearing up to leave University Village at the same time. We decided to grab an unexpected lunch at Din Tai Fung. She wanted a Lychee Mojito, but I got her a Lychee Martini. Not the same, but achieved the goal of a drink after a long day. We ate and ran home to work more + see our pup.
I always do a swoop of cleaning and organizing, but leaving for the retreat sort of left a gap in being able to achieve that, so I stayed up late and tackled cleaning my bathroom drawers. I process stress differently than most folks; I channel it into a deep clean project. Missing our kids, 2025 wrap-up, and overall jump start to 2026, I needed to do something that doesn’t require a lot of thinking. I also got our excess supplies that I store in my bedroom organized, too. It was a great week - archiving 2025 was the next task.
