Week 46-Week 50: G6 #biz + #life

Isabelle’s love for her dog and dogs in general turned her household with her partner, Ben, to a foster home for pups.  I admire her strength to a) not adopt a dog and b) to not cry every single time a dog gets adopted!  I know when the time is right, her and Ben will be great dog parents.  This is Poof - she was with them for 6 weeks and I know they grew fond of her.  It was good timing for her to jet off to Seattle (Week 51).

Meanwhile, our pup was battling his 2nd ear infection of the year…Isabelle sent him this “hood” to protect his ears.  I can assure you - he hates it.  As you can see he’s naturally anxious so it doesn’t take much to upset Obi-Wan.

Meanwhile, Isabelle continues to live her best life in Maryland.  Isabelle and my childhood best friend, Danielle, went to the Seahawks game in DC (couldn’t tell you the name of their team…).  I can’t express how much it means to me that she has her Aunty Danielle out there to watch over her.

My favorite part about working with David (sorta) or at least sharing biz responsibility with David is the worlds collide.  He does a project for one of my clients.  We get to hang out and clients get to know him, too.  I love seeing him at work and working (ha!).  He did a custom drawer for the retail shelf at Hey Bagel.  It turned out well and achieves the goal of us hiding the folded or rifled through shifts that hang at the bottom of the shelf.

Some ask - how do I cope with the end of the month?  Rounding out all the things, doing more things and then adding more things on top of the things I already do - uh, I get into a flow state and jam out to Real Housewives.

You now know my secret.  Don’t tell anyone.

Then, your friend decides to turn 50 and go to Vegas.  You think it’s likely not a good idea since you were gone less than a month ago.  But then, you decide, YOLO.  So you go, you book the flight and hope that your husband gets to join you because ya know he’s on a grind to finish a project.

Then, it works out.  You are a hot mess express all weekend.  Dancing, drinking, dancing, drinking and dancing!  But, you’d do it again for a bestie.

What’s Vegas without an elevator selfie?

Of course it’s Christmas in Vegas in mid November.  We just skip Thanksgiving - I guess.  I watched the frenzy of Bellagio’s first day of their Christmas Village.  We also went to the Wynn for a show - the Awakening.  I highly recommend it.  It was good!

Thanksgiving crept up on me.  So, yes, there’s that.  Costco with David - which is never fun.  He hates, I hate it, and we both want out.

We can’t just host Thanksgiving.  We also have to host a Happy Hour for our friends and founders!  We hosted a great gathering for our clients.  We hope to do this every 6 months to build our own community of connectors.  We hope it’s something for them to look forward to that we can host as an appreciation for allowing us to join them and support their business.

A little G6 Retail Renovation highlight of our Marketing Team working together.  We onboarded Cloudy Cafe as a marketing client doing website, ecommerce for wholesale and social media.  We draw lots of attention with our efforts in food photography.

It’s December.  On Thanksgiving, David and his cousins had a great idea - to celebrate their Grandpa’s (what would have been) 100th Birthday.  We got us all in one spot (except for our college kids) and went to Seattle to enjoy a family dinner.

Then, we cuddled up at home to enjoy more Stranger Things and our pup who always falls asleep during shows!
