Week 51-Week 52: G6 #biz + #life
We are headed to Week 51 which then turns to Week 52. Week 52 is always the most chaotic week for me the whole year with retail. I wanna laugh and cry nearly the whole week. I think most of the time I want to cry. It’s stressful. Getting all the things done and getting more of all the things done both personally and professionally. I don’t compromise on either end so I end up wigged out. Then…it’s over. That’s what gets me through - I know it’ll be over. I know it will get done. I know everyone will be happy.
I should do a whole post on Week 52 sometime but right now, I have no time to do that. Ha!
Week 51 - Isabelle came home. That marks all 4 kids home from college. They went to get Santa photos with their cousins and then we headed to the Nutcracker. I started a tradition of 12 days of Christmas. This forces us to a) spend some time together and b) do shared experiences and traditions vs all presents.
We also saw Elf the Musical at the 5th Ave Theater. Our first time seeing it and it was very well done! I don’t love musicals but I would see this again. It brought great Christmas cheer. David was in the middle of a huge project and couldn’t join us. It was sad but Maleah took his place.
We got there a little early. Madi, Isabelle, and I went to the Four Seasons across from the 5th Ave. We enjoyed a beverage and fries before heading to the show.
We love stalking our favorite baristas at Caffe Ladro. It’s so fun to see them working together.
Next up is another fun weekend, we went bowling and did the Christmas Market. Bowling was fun! Hannah and David won with their scores. They did well - the rest of us were there for the snax. Let’s be honest. Ha!
Christmas Market is always a good time. We spend way too much and swear we aren’t going back but then, we do. We love the carousel and outrageous snax. The kids seem to look forward to it every time.
We managed to fit in our own G6 Retail Renovation Cookie Exchange in Week 52. We had our meeting and enjoyed each other’s baking. It was optional and ended up being a lot of fun. Amid the chaos we ended up with some great treats to kick off Christmas week.
Christmas Day is all about Stranger Things, a show that has us all bonded. We watched it together Christmas night in their Dermagorgon jammies.
