Week 16: G6 #biz + #life
On Sunday, we opted for David to take a photo in front of the Hello Kitty Cafe branded with Bruno Mars and send it to Madi. That seems like a reasonable merch momento, right? Sunday, we pooled for a few hours and then went to dinner at Vic and Anthony’s which led us to my first adventure on Fremont Street. Wow. It was like being in another world compared to the Strip. I don’t have a strong desire to go back but I love the energy. We took photos with some Chippendales - we didn’t buy them (so no evidence) and some things can just remain between David and I. HA!
The last day was Monday, I worked and then we packed up to head to breakfast at Sadelle’s Cafe at the Bellagio. We departed that afternoon and took the SDOT Link home. I don’t think I would do that again…sorry, David. Too long, too late, and too rocky…I don’t have enough patience to wait for each stop. Dreaming of our next trip together and thankful always for our time together.
Business update because this blog is also about business, not just all the fun we have as a family. I ended my Sunday and started my Monday with some hard decisions.
G6 Retail Renovation has put a pause on our Operations Coordinator position. I’ve decided to take a beat and assess what is necessary. The role is great, the role is needed, and the person in the role did great work. She was such a support to our clients. Expectations within G6 Retail Renovation are held to a high standard - the highest standard because we are the example, the model, the “Hey, this is how you should do it”. I’ve been struggling with the position because the person in the role did great work.
The overall expectations for the role weren’t meeting the benchmarks it needed to. G6 Retail Renovation is moving; we are ebbing and flowing with the growing needs of our clients, the economy, and business trends to better serve our small business community.
What gets me up at the wee hours and keeps me up late at night is a direct passion to continue to support our clients. That means, I can’t neglect our business needs, too. We will undoubtedly get through 2026 with some major moves and better continued support for our small business friends. Our weekend in Vegas was a moment of zen for me to step away and be called to make this decision.
Soooo, stay tuned. I will continue to delight and surprise you with what G6 Retail Renovation has up next.
XOXO, Sherizzle
