Week 17 & 18: G6 #biz + #life

The week returning from Vegas is always a reality check. I was very happy to see our puppy, Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was waiting for his people from our living room.

The work week kicked off with a coffee date with our Marketing Lead, Jason; he and I met at a new coffee shop in Pioneer Square - Gloom. They are changing the game of coffee. Their focus is on hospitality and extending your stay to have an experience. The serveware, the cafe, and the company were a refreshing experience. It reminded me of a time when hospitality extended beyond "what would you like today?" We also went to hang with our friends. The best part. Seeing our industry friends do something different and bring back the coffee scene by elevating it.

I was also lucky enough to hang with Dan (my middle school bestie) - she was here from DC. Her one wish while here was to attend a soccer game; she had not been to a Sounder's Game and, as a native Seattleite with a passion for Seattle Team sports. We had to get it done. Or rather, David made it happen. She also somehow had a Sounders sweatshirt or got one? I went in a cardigan…we got to see Berger and Taryn as well during halftime and some other random friends that happen to also partake in Saturday night sports in Seattle. Who knew? Lively bunch and we ended up having a great time. It was like David was bringing me to "bring your wife to work day" except this was "bring your wife to your favorite sport night". David's tickets are good; I'm glad to see money well spent. We had a great time.
