Week 19 & 20: G6 #biz + #life

Well, it's my birthday week. Yes, a week. It was actually one of the more mellow birthday weeks I've had in a while. I was busy with work mostly and enjoyed the week hanging with the kids. Devin came home that week, so it felt like a good enough present to hang with him and Maleah.

We had dinner with my bestie from elementary school and high school - she brought our high school yearbook. It was a good way to travel down memory lane with her and David. Fun fact: David and I went to high school together. The kids got a kick out of my Freshman year photo.

The week was filled with doing all of my favorite things. Visited Stamp Act Coffee, which happens to be roasting in the old Seattle Coffee Works Roastery. I was meeting with their Customer Success Manager to bring them on as a client as their coffee provider. It was unreal to visit the space and see the transformation. I met Berger at Seattle Coffee Works. He and I became fast friends with a love of organization and numbers. We've worked together since…with a few gaps here and there.

Weekly Harvest is our new client. A great chef in the city looking to cook for families. Provide meals that nourish and are convenient for families. Anyway, hit me up if you'd like her contact!

My birthday dinner was in Seattle. We ate at La Loba. It was a wonderful meal, and I loved being with my family. 2025 was a year of transition, and I believe as a human, and as a business owner, I experienced the most growth. 2026 continues my path of being open, open to new opportunities, open to new friendships, and focusing on enjoying David and me being "empty nesters". Hannah moved out in March and felt a void. She has been my home buddy for the last 2 years. I'm so proud of her for saving money and moving in with her partner, Finn. They seem so happy near their college friends and living their best life. May came quicker than I thought! I'm so happy Devin is home; in June, Madi will be here, and Isabelle visits home mid-June.

David and I have had the luxury of spending more time together and going on trips together so far this year. Next up, Palm Springs!

I had to end the week, Mother's Day, with a latte from my son at Hey Bagel. I wanted a chill, and the only thing I wanted to do was watch Devil Wears Prada 2. A Diet Coke, Red Vines, movie popcorn, and my favorite movie in a reclining chair was all I needed. The only person missing was my Smelly Belly, Isabelle.
